WHY NODE PROXY // 03

What is a
proxy server?

A proxy server is an intermediary computer that forwards your request to a website under its own IP address. The website sees the proxy's IP and location instead of yours and responds as it would to a user in that country. Businesses use proxies to work with websites from other locations or to spread requests across many addresses.

Your device

Sends the request over a secure connection

Node Proxy

Processes the request, swaps the IP and passes it on

Website

Receives the request from a Node Proxy IP

The flow is simple: your app or browser → Node Proxy → the website. The proxy type decides whose address the website sees: a home connection, an internet provider, or a data center.

WHY NODE PROXY // 04

Why
Node Proxy

Node Proxy is a provider of residential and static proxies (IPv4 and ISP) run by a UK company. We publish only facts you can check: pool figures, terms and prices are the same on every page of the site.

  • Country targeting

Country, city and provider targeting on residential proxies, with sticky sessions up to 24 hours (4–6 on average) or a new IP on every request, and no concurrent-connection limit.

  • HTTP(S) and SOCKS5

on every proxy type, with both protocols on one port for residential.

  • Traffic

Residential traffic is valid for 12 months, not reset every billing cycle.

  • Unlimited traffic

on static proxies (IPv4 and ISP), with IPv4 from $1.65 per IP per month in any of 39 countries and IP replacement if an address stops working, slows down or shows the wrong location.

Setup // 10

How to set up a proxy on your computer or browser

You can add a proxy in Windows or macOS settings, in your browser through an extension, or directly in the app that needs a different IP. Every option uses the same details from your dashboard: host, port, username and password. For residential proxies the dashboard shows a ready connection string you can simply copy. To make sure a proxy works before you set it up, you can check proxies online: the tool shows each proxy's status, exit IP, country and city.

FAQ // 13

Frequently asked questions

The most common questions about using proxies, payment and setup.

A proxy server is a middleman between you and a website. Your request goes to the proxy first, then reaches the website from the proxy's IP address, so the site sees the proxy's address and location instead of yours. Businesses use this to view prices, search results and ads as users in other countries see them.
