Practical guide
Plan your Ad verification workflow
Check whether an authorised campaign resolves to the expected landing page in a chosen market.
Start with a reproducible sample
Store campaign URL, redirect chain, device, language, and country together.
- Define one target, a permitted task, and the settings that must remain fixed.
- Check the exit IP and location, then run the complete task in the intended client.
- Record valid results, errors, traffic, and timing. Change one setting at a time.
- Scale only after the sample meets your acceptance criteria and the traffic budget.
What makes the test meaningful
Compare final domain, displayed creative, page content, and response time.
Limits to account for
A country IP does not reproduce every audience criterion, such as age, account history, or advertiser targeting.
Example: verify your campaign destination
Suppose you manage an authorised campaign intended to show a particular landing page in two markets. Create a test matrix with campaign URL, declared country, browser language, device category, and expected final domain. Use links supplied by your own campaign configuration. Record whether the test concerns the destination itself or whether an advertisement is actually being displayed.
Run one small check for each matrix row and save the complete redirect chain. Capture the final page, observation time, and any visible error. Compare the page’s headline, product, and required language with the expected version. These observations test a specific setup; they do not prove that every member of the advertised audience will see the same creative.
Separate display checks from link checks
A direct visit to a campaign link can verify routing without proving that the advertisement was served. Treat those outcomes separately. For a display check, record where the advertisement appeared and what permitted account or browser context was used. For a link check, verify the destination and preservation of required tracking parameters through every redirect, including intermediate tracking domains.
Compare the same link under one changed input at a time. Keep device category fixed when changing geography, then run a separate device comparison if necessary. Avoid using different campaign links as though they were identical samples. Campaign configuration, browser state, and selected language can all affect the observed destination independently of the country associated with the exit IP.
Diagnose a wrong or missing landing page
Locate the first redirect where the actual route differs from the expected route. Check whether a parameter disappeared, a destination URL was encoded incorrectly, or the final page requires an account state absent from the test. Inspect the response body as well as its status. An intermediate error page with a successful network response is still a failed destination check.
If the landing page loads but looks wrong, compare its language, content version, cookies, and manually selected region. Repeat with the original matrix row before changing proxy settings. Record the discrepancy with enough evidence for the campaign owner to reproduce it. Do not treat a change in ad delivery as a connection failure without a separate connection test.
Acceptance criteria and verification budget
Define accepted routing as reaching the expected domain and content version while preserving required parameters. Define display evidence independently, such as an observed placement with its time and browser context. Count routing errors, content mismatches, and missing display evidence separately. This gives the team an actionable report instead of an ambiguous success percentage across different tasks.
Measure traffic for a full check, including scripts and page resources needed to verify the creative or destination. Use a representative sample before scheduling repeated observations. Increase frequency around meaningful campaign changes rather than repeating every link continuously. Connection testing does not authorise deceptive advertising or evasion of platform review; stay within campaigns you are entitled to assess.
| Task | Starting configuration | Verify before scaling |
|---|---|---|
| Independent regional observations | Chosen country; rotation between samples | Exit-IP location, valid response content, and traffic per result |
| Login or another multi-step session | Continuous session; consistent browser profile | IP continuity, cookies, authentication, and account permissions |
Ad verification: questions before launch
What should I verify when testing Ad verification?
Compare final domain, displayed creative, page content, and response time.
Should I keep one IP or rotate it?
Use a continuous session for login and other multi-step tasks. Test rotation between independent requests. Verify the exit IP in your application; connection settings and a fixed address are different things.
Does a proxy guarantee access or a successful outcome?
A country IP does not reproduce every audience criterion, such as age, account history, or advertiser targeting.
Residential traffic pricing
Choose the plan that matches your workflows
The rate depends on traffic volume. Check the final amount and available payment methods in your dashboard before payment.
