Practical guide
Plan your Crypto & DeFi workflow
Test permitted access to public information or an authorised account without exposing signing credentials.
Start with a reproducible sample
Separate public API reads from wallet signing and transaction submission.
- Define one target, a permitted task, and the settings that must remain fixed.
- Check the exit IP and location, then run the complete task in the intended client.
- Record valid results, errors, traffic, and timing. Change one setting at a time.
- Scale only after the sample meets your acceptance criteria and the traffic budget.
What makes the test meaningful
Record endpoint status and latency; verify transactions in the relevant system separately.
Limits to account for
An IP does not change eligibility, identification requirements, or financial risk. Never include private keys or seed phrases in proxy settings.
Keep the pilot to public, read-only observations
A suitable network pilot compares a public market page or status endpoint from two locations at recorded times. Choose three resources that require no wallet signature and define the fields you need, such as source timestamp, network name and displayed market value. The example tests access and data consistency. It does not evaluate an investment, recommend a trade or move funds.
Confirm the intended network and asset identifier; similar names are insufficient. Keep wallet recovery phrases, private keys and signing operations outside proxy configuration, support messages and diagnostic logs. Public observations need none of those secrets. Separate authenticated dashboards from public pages because authentication introduces additional state.
Record freshness and source identity
Save the requested URL, observation time, source time when present, selected network and response type. Compare the same source and field across contexts before combining values. A page can load successfully while showing an old quote. If the source does not disclose freshness, mark it unknown rather than deriving a current timestamp from when your browser happened to receive the page.
For an API, validate the expected fields and identifiers before using numeric values. Distinguish a missing value from zero and preserve the source units. Use a permitted cached response or a local test fixture to check malformed data handling. A proxy transports the response; it does not verify the correctness of a market quote or the financial meaning of a protocol metric.
Diagnose transport independently of chain activity
Classify a failure as connection, authentication, source limit, invalid response or stale data. Check a minimal public resource through the same client to locate the failing layer. Redact authorization headers before sharing evidence. Repeatedly changing the network path should not replace investigating an invalid endpoint, a wrong network identifier or a response format that the consuming application does not support.
A reachable interface is separate from a transaction being signed, submitted, included or reaching the confirmation condition you require. If an independently authorized transaction must be reviewed, use its actual identifier and the intended network through trusted read-only sources. Do not infer completion from a loaded interface or an HTTP success response. This guide does not require creating a transaction to test connectivity.
Accept useful data within a small test budget
Accept the pilot when expected public resources load, identifiers match, fields validate and freshness is documented. Report source disagreements explicitly; avoid silently averaging differently timed values. Keep account access and transaction outcomes out of the network conclusion unless separately verified. A useful report states what was observed, when it was observed and which unavailable fields limit the intended comparison.
Measure traffic per accepted public observation, including interface resources and diagnostic repeats. Choose an update interval appropriate to the analysis and source access conditions. Set a maximum number of failed retries and stop for diagnosis when it is reached. Neither proxy location nor successful collection establishes price stability, future returns or uninterrupted access to a third-party financial service.
| Task | Starting configuration | Verify before scaling |
|---|---|---|
| Independent regional observations | Chosen country; rotation between samples | Exit-IP location, valid response content, and traffic per result |
| Login or another multi-step session | Continuous session; consistent browser profile | IP continuity, cookies, authentication, and account permissions |
Crypto & DeFi: questions before launch
What should I verify when testing Crypto & DeFi?
Record endpoint status and latency; verify transactions in the relevant system separately.
Should I keep one IP or rotate it?
Use a continuous session for login and other multi-step tasks. Test rotation between independent requests. Verify the exit IP in your application; connection settings and a fixed address are different things.
Does a proxy guarantee access or a successful outcome?
An IP does not change eligibility, identification requirements, or financial risk. Never include private keys or seed phrases in proxy settings.
Residential traffic pricing
Choose the plan that matches your workflows
The rate depends on traffic volume. Check the final amount and available payment methods in your dashboard before payment.
